Can I see chandeliers and premium lights before buying?
Yes — this is the whole point of the showroom. Every chandelier, pendant, floor lamp and table lamp can be lit and displayed so you can see exactly how it looks and how it casts light. This matters especially for statement pieces where the difference between a photograph and the real thing can be dramatic.

Do you stock RV Astley lighting?
Yes. Illuminations of Camberley is an authorised RV Astley stockist with approximately 20 pieces on live display, including the Colmar range, Vienna antique brass lamps, Brisa floor lamp, Arketa table lamp, and RV Astley mirrors. One of very few showrooms in Surrey and Hampshire to carry RV Astley as a full live display collection.
Will my lights flicker with my existing dimmer switch?
LED flicker with dimmers is very common. Most older dimmer switches were designed for incandescent bulbs and are incompatible with many LEDs. The fix is either an LED-compatible dimmer or choosing a bulb specifically rated for your dimmer type. Bring the make and model of your dimmer to the showroom and the team can recommend a compatible solution.
What IP rating do I need for a bathroom or outdoor fitting?
For bathrooms: Zone 1 above the bath requires IP44 minimum; Zone 0 inside the bath requires IP67. For outdoor use, IP44 is a minimum with IP65 or higher recommended for exposed locations. The team at Illuminations can confirm the right IP rating for your specific installation — we stock bathroom and outdoor fittings across all required ratings.
How high should a dining room chandelier hang above the table?
The standard is 75 to 90cm between the bottom of the chandelier and the table surface. Chandelier diameter should be roughly half to two thirds the width of the table. All our chandeliers are displayed lit in the showroom so you can judge proportion and scale in person before you buy.
Is it worth travelling to Camberley for lighting?
